Roy Semlacher, MD, FRCSC, is a trusted surgeon with 20+ years of private practice experience in breast augmentation and abdominoplasty, primarily in California. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Dr. Semlacher completed medical school and his internship at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Following extensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgical training, Dr. Semlacher completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
During this time he attained the prominent position of Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery (1994) and was awarded the Greg F. Rische Award in recognition of his significant contributions in the field of burn treatment. He further refined his cosmetic surgical skills and experience by undertaking post-graduate cosmetic fellowship trainings in Southern California and Hawaii with world renowned surgeons Bruce Connell, MD, and Robert Flowers, MD.
Dr. Semlacher previously served as the Director and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mercy San Juan Medical Center (Level 2 trauma center) in Sacramento, and as an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at University of California, Davis, as well as an Associate Clinical Professor at the California Northstate University College of Medicine.
Dr. Semlacher is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Washington and California Medical Societies.
Dr. Semlacher is well known in Northern California for his outstanding technical abilities in cosmetic plastic surgery and was considered one of the top plastic surgeons for breast augmentation in Sacramento. His patients travel to his practice from all over North America and as far away as China, Japan and South Korea due to his expertise and reputation in breast augmentation surgery. He is excited to bring his expertise along with his safety and communication skills to the Pacific Northwest.
